Whilst not a listed building, Rose Cottage is a period property with a great deal of charm and character which the client was keen to retain. Vernacular Homes was asked to restore and extend the house.

The original tile hanging and brickwork were in poor condition, allowing significant water penetration. The preferred solution was to clad the structure with traditional weatherboarding.

A sympathetic single storey extension with office and utility room was added.
