One of the founding members and original directors of Vernacular Homes, Trevor has 37 years’ experience, having begun his career in construction at the age of 20. He moved into construction management and design aged 29, before forming the company when he was 35.
Trevor is responsible for the holistic planning and strategy of the company and its projects. He deals with marketing and enquiries and spends much of his time working with design manager Matthew where he oversees all planning and design work, and processes. He also assists with product and material research and selection, and pricing and contract management, where he works closely with Oliver, our contracts manager.
Often the first point of contact for potential clients, Trevor attends many design and contract meetings up to work commencing.
Although he says work is his favourite hobby, Trevor is very active in his spare time and enjoys sea kayaking, coasteering, running and going out with his children and grandchildren. He’s also involved with youth work with both the church and the Royal Navy Family & People Support. His favourite authors are C.S. Lewis, and the scientist and mathematician John Lennox.
