Over the last couple of decades, house builders in Kent and the East Sussex areas have been able to utilise the latest building technology with advances in both equipment and building materials. Vernacular Homes have taken full advantage of this new technology to provide the best possible services.
When we approach any building design project, we utilise the appropriate architectural practices to achieve client pleasing results.
Whether the built environment is a listed building which is in need of renovation and must be sympathetically restored according to its architectural history. Or a barn conversion, perhaps with a failed planning application, whose proposed planning drawings must be altered in line with building regulations to gain planning permission. Or, indeed, a new build that relies on modern technical design to overcome planning constraints and obtain planning permission, compliment the wider environment and most importantly of all, satisfy our client's design brief.
All of the aforementioned project types and more benefit from our professional experience and sound design practice.
The overall architectural design of residential buildings in the south east corner of England has undergone huge changes over the years. Not least because of evolving building regulations, design processes and the advent of sustainable design. As a result, there is a great variety of styles in the area.
The built environment in many of the towns in Kent and East Sussex such as Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Canterbury, Maidstone and Ashford conveys an aesthetic that varies according to the time period they were built and their purpose. Many period buildings built using traditional construction techniques have their own personality and detailed design whose structural resilience is not in question, given their longevity. While houses built in the town suburbs tend to be more of a 'cookie-cutter' variety built from the 1950s onwards. This is not true of all modern buildings, of course, there are contemporary masterpieces in quite a few of the main towns.
Your new home or barn conversion will be a bespoke, characterful design project with lots of personality infused by your design brief and homely touch and Vernacular Homes unique design thinking.
As it's your project, you will be kept informed of the many variables and situations which influence design decisions. Your Project Manager
